While in a living room, opt for a floor lamp next to a couch or favorite reading chair. In bathrooms the lighting at the mirror should be free from shadows and glaring light.
For large, dramatic artwork consider directional lighting that casts directly on the piece. For sculptural pieces, floor directional lighting aimed up can bring drama and visual interest.
Roly-Poly comes from designer Jung Jae Yup and is one of the most playful lamp design we’ve seen. The project is also known as “Zen”, probably because it takes a strong meditative state for one not to be provoked into playing with this lamp.
